Accompanied by one of our experienced guides, you’ll venture into the wilderness of the Xudumela Conservancy, learning to observe the countless signs that wildlife leaves behind. Discover how to identify fresh tracks, interpret animal behaviour, recognise birds by their calls, and understand the intricate relationships between plants, insects, and mammals.

As you walk, your guide will explain the art of tracking, teaching you how to distinguish different species by their footprints, droppings, feeding signs, and movement patterns. Every outing is different, with opportunities to follow the trails of elephants, giraffes, antelope, predators, and many of the smaller creatures that are often overlooked from a vehicle.

More than just a walk, this is an immersive educational experience that encourages you to see the bush through the eyes of a tracker. By the end of the walk, you’ll have gained a deeper appreciation for the remarkable stories written in the sand and the delicate balance of the Okavango ecosystem.

Bushman Archery Experience (coming in 2027)

Step into the world of the San Bushmen and discover the traditional skills that have sustained life in the Kalahari for thousands of years.

Accompanied by indigenous Bushman guides, you’ll learn about traditional tracking, hunting techniques, and the cultural significance of the bow and arrow before putting your new skills to the test.

Using beginner-friendly compound bows, you’ll take aim at a series of lifelike wildlife targets positioned throughout the bush. Each round presents a new challenge, with points awarded for accuracy and consistency. Compete on your own or in teams as you progress through the course, with the highest score earning bragging rights at the end of the experience.

Along the way, your guides will share fascinating stories, demonstrate traditional hunting methods, explain how animals are tracked, and reveal how generations of Bushmen have learned to read the landscape and survive in harmony with nature.

Suitable for all skill levels, this immersive activity combines culture, conservation, friendly competition, and hands-on adventure—creating a memorable experience for families, friends, and groups alike.

Elephant Hide Experience
